PEARCE IS ONE TODAY!!

I do not even know where to begin this blog entry ... Pearce's first birthday seemed so far away and now look. The past year has brought us so much joy and laughter with our daughter! Everyone said this would be the fastest year of our life .. but who really knew???

Pearce is still the sweet child she was a year ago ..... naturally so happy (of course she does have her moments like any one year old!) , and sweet! We just love her so much and are so thrilled with our family. I never knew that I could love two people so much -- my husband (who by the way is an awesome dad!!) and my daughter. Truly, I am so blessed!

We took Pearce to the Georgia Aquarium again today (I will put those in a seperate blog) , ate lunch at the Varsity (Paw picked this one) , let Pearce eat a cupcake for the first time, open two gifts from friends (Thanks Donna and Abby!!) , and go to a party tonight! Needless to say, she is SACKED out asleep and I have a feeling tomorrow could be a battle getting her ready for school!

The Georgia Aquarium

We went to the aquarium again today for Pearce's birthday and had a great time. Of course Pearce found a new friend and they would not stop hugging each other -- it was really quite sweet!!

Paw joined us and we all went to the Varsity after for lunch ... mommy's tummy is very full tonight from a lot of grease!!

Opening Presents!

Pearce got to open a couple of presents today .... she really enjoyed the paper!! Thanks Donna for the doll and Abby for the outfit!!

Super Bowl Fun!

Pearce had a BLAST tonight at our neighors house ... she loves all the kids and never really quit laughing!! She was really loving baby Christopher (he is 5 1/2 months old) ... flirting like crazy!!

Tubes in the Ear!

Pearce got tubes in both of her ears this morning ... the procedure went very smooth and she was quite the trooper! She LOVED the nurse that was helping her which made everything much easier. They let one parent go back to the OR and hold the babies hands while they "fall asleep" . So, you will see me in scrubs and Pearce in her gown all ready to go. These were taken by Matt on my phone so they are a little hard to see! Thank you for all the phone calls today -- we are SO VERY LUCKY to have wonderful family and friends!!

Little Miss Independant

So, tonight Pearce finally got her appetite back and I decided to give her some Sugar-Free Vanilla Pudding for desert .. she LOVED it . Pearce decided that it was time to use the spoon by herself .... I was about shocked when she started screaming taking it away from me. Needless to say the end of her dinner got pretty messy ... then she got pretty angry because it was all gone (there was quite a bit in her hair!). I am learning that patience is a must with any mother -- some days are easier than others !! But, when it is all said and done they pat you on the back , call you da-da , kiss you , and your heart melts !!!

Early Birthday Presents from Maw and Paw!

PEARCE GOT SOME REALLY GREAT EARLY BIRTHDAY PRESENTS FROM HER GRANDPARENTS THIS WEEKEND ... ONE IS A SLIDE THAT WE CAN HAVE IN THE PLAY ROOM AND THE OTHER IS A WAGON FOR OUTSIDE (SINCE ITS A LITTLE COLD DAD WAS PULLING HER UPSTAIRS TODAY). WE WERE ESPECIALLY EXCITED TO SEE THE WAGON HAD A PLACE FOR DRINKS AND EVEN A COOLER TYPE THING UNDERNEATH -- IT WILL BE PERFECT FOR THE POOL THIS SUMMER! THANKS MAW AND PAW FOR THE GREAT GIFTS -- SHE IS ALREADY HAVING A BLAST WITH BOTH!!
