Pearce Got Her First Tooth Today!

Look very close on the bottom right and you will see her tooth ... very exciting!!

So, Pearce got her first tooth today (or we think it was today but are not really sure!) and we did not even know. She woke up last night screaming in the middle of the night so we assumed she had an ear infection .... My dad was with her today and said she was in the best mood but I was convinced. So, we get to the doctor and the ears are clear .... BUT when the doctor looked in Pearce's mouth she commented on her tooth and I about fell over. So of course I started acting goofy and Pearce was laughing up a storm. The pediatrician who we saw today must have thought we were nuts -- actually she was laughing with us!

We have been waiting for her tooth (some people can remember that we thought one was in a couple of weeks ago -- thanks mom!!) but it was her very swollen gum!! So, when it gets more noticeable I will take a picture and show you. Matt and I are hoping for a good nights sleep tonight !! One tooth is enough for now ---

We had a very nice Thanksgiving in Florida and got to spend time with all of Matts family. Pearce loved all the thanksgiving food and cleaned her plate -- it was so fun to have her at the table with the family! Pearce also got to meet Brooke, who is the little girl of my old work partner in Florida. They had a good time playing but Brooke was not quite sure of Pearce!! Santa Clause was already out in Florida so Pearce got to get her picture taken for the first time and had a blast. She was not scared at all and thought he was very funny!! When we returned home to Atlanta Bates came to spend the day with us and helped us pick out a Christmas tree -- Thanks Bates !! Now, we are all exhuasted and ready for another week!!

Pearce and Maggie's New Best Friend!

As everyone knows I married into a family of GATORS!! So, Granddaddy could not resist buying Pearce this HUGE stuffed animal that is a gator ... she got it when she was visiting in Tallahassee and it has made its way to Georgia. Matt decided that it was precious cargo so the gator was buckled in the front seat on the way back to Atlanta ... talk about some weird looks at the gas station!!

Pearce Helping Grandma Cook in the Kitchen!!

Pearce helped her grandma prepare Thanksgiving on the kitchen floor ... as you can she she is quite a natural and looking mighty cute!!

AMANDA AND JARROD'S SHOWER IN FLORIDA!!

Aunt Amanda and soon to be "Uncle Jarrod" had a wedding shower in Tallahssee this past weekend. Pearce was invited to the party and had a great time ...she gave Grandma lots of kisses on her legs the whole night!! We know that little Pearce is very excited about being the flower girl in the upcoming wedding .... of course, she will have to keep her eyes OFF THE GROOM (she loves uncle Jarrod!!) .

Pearce also met Matts very good friend Jaime and his wife Alison who were in town for the Florida State game. As you can see Pearce enjoyed their cell phone while we enjoyed our cold beverage!! It was great to see them and we were so happy they could meet Pearce.

Grandpa's To the Rescue!!

Grandpa Art and Grandma Val made the trip all the way from Tallahssee, Florida to watch Pearce all week so she could stay home ... Paw (aka .. Hope's Dad - Grandpa Tom) came over on Wednesday night and the grandpa's did a great job babysitting baby Pearce. I was very impressed when I walked in the door and the baby was sound asleep -- not bad for two grandpa's!!

All Bundled Up !

We had a cold front in Georgia last weekend but it did not stop us from our walk around the neighborhood!! I was very surprised that Pearce did not try to take her hat off once (it may have been because she did not want to move) .. I think she may have even liked wearing it in the cold weather!!

Daddy's New Game!!

So, what does Matt do with Pearce when he stays with her on Wednesday? Well, he makes up the best freaking games that I could NEVER think of doing!! One of the new "games" they have is shown in the picture where she is being pushed in her laundry basket ... yes, she was being pushed around the downstairs in the basket having so much fun . It was truly one of the cutest things I have ever seen -- leave it to her dad to figure that game up!! She has him so whipped -- I may have been replaced !!

Pearce was sporting her Polo sweat suit that was a gift from a very dear friend of mine, Jill ... who was my freshman college roomate and is expecting her first little boy in December (a possible future husband for Pearce??) ...

Pearce is Nine Months!!

Time has flown by and now our little girl is 9 months old . We are still wondering where the time has gone and cant believe she is such a little girl!! So, I tried something new today with my camera (so dont be expecting to much) .... you may see a little glimpse of Pearce crawling in our room and doing her favorite thing which is looking through a book!!

I have included some pictures of our day ... she is the proud owner of her first "kitchen" that she can crawl through (yes, it keeps her entertained for a very long time) and she has discovered going under the coffee table is very exciting (except of course when she gets stuck over and over) !! My New Obsession -- Thanks to my friend Kathyrn!!

So, I first have to thank Kathyrn Hoover because she gave me the link on how to do this blog site -- lord knows I would have NEVER figured it out. I have been sitting at my computer (with a few distractions like going out to dinner, giving Pearce a bath , etc) for a couple of hours having the best time. Going through all of the pictures and trying to decide which ones make it on the "Witters Blog Site" has been a blast ... lord what has my life come to ( as Matt is rolling his eyes at me!!) . Pearce is growing up so fast -- she is crawling around, pulling up, babbling (of course saying da da), screaming, fighting getting her diaper changed, eating real food, and laughing very loud! So, I am going to try and update the site on a weekly basis or when something really funny happens so you all can expereince what we see every day. So, bookmark our website and check back often.

Halloween 2007

Pearce had a wonderful Halloween even though she was a little under the weather. We took her all around the neighborhood with our friends and she loved all the costumes. As you can see she was a very cute ladybug!!
